Lighthouses

The treatment of corrosion is a particular issue for lighthouses and our experience over many years working in these conditions and application of specialist coating systems provide us with unique experience when working on other similar challenging projects.

roofing

We provide a full range of installation and maintenance on all types of roofing systems – from traditional intricate lead working and slate roofs to the most modern materials and systems.

We specialise in providing bespoke solutions in challenging access locations as well as cost effective life extension options to existing roofs and replacement of old roofs with upgraded insulation and options for extended manufacturer backed warranties for 20+ years.

Our experienced design and installation teams have extensive experience working with our Clients to come up with the best option to acheive maximum value while minimising disruption to their business using discreet access solutions and installation methods.

All our work is carried out with safety as a main priority. Our projects include Hotels, Offices, Market Halls, Lighthouses, High Rise residential blocks and all types of Commercial properties.

Windows

We work with manufacturers and installers of all major window types and materials – from bespoke traditional double glazed timber sash & case units to aluminium curtain walling and standard units plus full range of commercial PVC units.

We specialise in matching our Clients bespoke design requirements – whether it is for minimising sound transmission from noisy airport or roadside locations using combinations of acoustic glazing and gasses or to reduce thermal gain and glare by use of cutting edge films and glazing materials.

Our teams of Installers tailor each project to the unique requirements of our Clients. We plan each installation carefully to minimise disruption and for hotels in particular the loss of business for the duration of the works.

Often we can complete installation of the window units without the need for costly and disruptive scaffolding using suspended cradles and rope access specialists who ensure external fitting and weatherproofing details are completed.

FaÇade Works

MPS has many years of experience carrying out facade refurbishment and maintenance projects often with challenging access issues to overcome and in harsh environmental locations.

We have recently completed the substantial refurbishment of Sussex Heights in Brighton – a 102m high residential tower built in 1968 which suffered from many years of neglect. Water ingress issues through the facde, windows and roofs were adressed in a very cost effeective manner using suspended cradles which avoided the need for costly and disruptive scaffolding.

As part of many projects we undertake we are able to offer multi year warranties and also medium to long term maintenance contracts which can keep on top of new issues that arise after the refurbishment contract has been completed and keep the building looking its best.

Our extensive experience working on lighthouses in extreme coastal conditions means we can offer comprehensive and reliable bespoke total fabric repair and maintenance services for all types of buildings.

specialisT access Solutions

MPS draws on a wide variety of access solutions to ensure the safest and most cost effective bespoke solutions when planning for our Clients Projects – no matter how challenging the location or scope of works.

We specialise in the use of suspended cradles and use rope access specialist trades to avoid the use of scaffold where possible, which allows us to reach challenging locations quickly and with the minimum costs.

Where we do require a fixed scaffold for certain projects we partner with our specialist scaffolding contractors to design bespoke solutions like hanging systems which can remove the need to disrupt roads and pavements at ground level.

General Building Works

MPS undertakes a wide range of general and specialist building projects across multi sectors. From planning and design to use of leading edge materials we work with specialist contractors and Project Manage turnkey projects to deliver cost effective solutions on time and on budget with minimal disruption for our Clients and their businesses.

Recent projects include several Hotel entrance and canopy refurbishments, basement damp proofing, Resin tanking of a leaking patio, Replacement of a hotel entrance revolving door with a modern bespoke sliding door entrance with warm corridor and a Hotel car park refurbishment including lighting and walls.
